Tagged

I had never heard of this tagging thing, but apparently it is all the rage these days. Thanks, Weeshies. Here goes:

1. Post these rules.
2. Post a photo of yourself and 11 random things.
3. Answer the questions set for you in the original post.
4. Create 11 new questions and tag people to answer them.
5. Go to their blog/twitter and tell them you've tagged them.

11 Random Things:

1. I cannot wear brown sunglasses if I am wearing something black. And vice versa. It bothers me so much. I know, it sounds silly. But it is true, nevertheless.

2. I really, really want to go to Africa one day. And South America. Strangely, Europe doesn't appeal to me that much.

3. I always sing the alphabet in my head when I wash my hands.

4. For some reason, when I am walking down stairs, I often count them. I'm not sure why.

5. I only have one knuckle in three of my toes. It looks rather odd.

6. I am addicted to helping kids learn to read and write. When I Skype with my niece, Abby, every Sunday morning, we always work on her writing. We sound something out together, and she writes it. You'd think that I would get tired of doing that since it's what I do all day, every day, at work.

7. I am apparently a runner now... I just registered for 2 more races--one in April and one in June. That brings my total to 4 for the year.

8. I really love going to sporting events. It doesn't matter what ones. I went to 3 baseball games over Spring Break. Who knew I liked baseball that much?

9. I adore reading for fun. It is like my favorite thing about being done with school. I get to read what I want to read. I particularly love reading biographies and autobiographies. Mostly because I really love feeling smarter after I have read something--which is why I never read all of the Twilight books. Sorry for all of the Twilight lovers.

10. I love the show Gilmore Girls. Actually, I am quite obsessed with it, and I wish I could watch it with my sisters and best friends all the days.

11. I love going to the zoo. We just went there on a field trip, and I think I may have been more excited than my kids were.

Alicia's Questions:

1. What is your idea of a relaxing day?
Watching soccer, all day. And going to the pool.
2. Where is your favorite place to be?
Home or the temple--which should be very similar, right?
3. What is your favorite Disney movie? Why?
I can't really choose. Tangled is my favorite movie with a princess--mostly because she is so spunky. I love The
Lion King because I think the message is really powerful--we have been born for greatness and need to do our part
to leave our mark in this world. And, I really love The Emperor's New Groove because it is hilarious.
4. If you could have any skill, what would it be?
Drawing. I feel like since I teach first grade, I should have that skill. But I just don't.
5. Comedy or drama?
Mostly comedy. But I like drama every once in a while. I figure there is enough drama in the world without inviting
more in. But we could all use a little more humor.
6. If you could meet any famous person, who would it be?
Ayaan Hirsi Ali. I just read her autobiography. She is from Somalia, but escaped to Holland. She spoke out against
the oppression of women in Islam. Her life is constantly being threatened, but she refuses to be silenced. Truly
inspiring. She is probably not famous in America, but she should be.
7. What is your dream job?
I have it. Teaching.
8. Dog or cat?
Is this even a question? Dog.
9. If you could live anywhere, where would you live?
I really, really want to live on the East Coast at some point--New England, to be exact. But then I remember how
much I abhor the cold, and then I realize I am content for now.
10. What is your favorite style of music?
I can't choose. It depends on the mood. Sometimes it is country, sometimes musicals, sometimes Beyonce,
sometimes Kelly Clarkson...
11. What is your most valuable possession?
My scriptures and/or my Preach My Gospel.

Questions for you:

1. What is your dream vacaction?
2. If money weren't an issue, and you could do anything you wanted for one day, what would it be?
3. Would you rather live in Spain or France? Why?
4. Who is your favorite Disney Princess? Why?
5. Would you rather spend the day at the beach or in the mountains?
6. What is one of your favorite quotes?
7. What is a chore you absolutely hate doing?
8. What is your favorite day of the week? Why?
9. If you were reincarnated as an animal, what animal would you be? Why?
10. If you could be any character in any book, who would you be? Why?
11. If you could witness any event, past, present, or future, what would it be? Why?
